Lovely Pottery to be found in Warren & Sussex Counties

Sparta has a great little Farmers Market on Saturdays.  Many local farms & and a vineyard are featured – wonderful products for sale.  Next week, I’ll take some pics of the lovely produce & wines – BUT, yesterday I went for the local artisans.  There’s at least one featured, and yesterday “Rimi Studios” had displayed pottery, jewelry and photography – all created by local artists from Rimi Studios in Washington, NJ.  It’s a family operation & they offer classes in photography, and pottery – as well, if you’ve got a budding artist youth; they’ve got an “Artist Elite Program” by application that offers the middle school to high school student advanced art techniques in photography, drawing and pottery with the opportunity to display their work in a gallery show, as well as review by professional artists.  I took some pics or some of my favorite objects – I love the lustre of the glaze on their pieces – it has a pearl like quality to it.  As well, Karen Gallo Rimi, the potter creates many of her pieces using foilage of the area, in a perfect way – every stem and leaf edge detail is beautifully infused into the piece.  Wish I had money to buy more!  Maybe next time – they will be at the Sparta Farmers Market again on Saturday, August 6th 9am – 2pm.
